Don't be too harsh on me please... I had 12.7.3 running like a train on my 5,1 but had become too complacent... I updated to 12.7.4 without updating OCLP first. I was running OCLP 1.3...
Now I have no network and things are distinctly weird.
How do I recover? If I just start from scratch again, will things come back?
Appreciate any suggestions...

Yeah, same thing happened to me on a 2011 iMac when I tried a fresh install of OCLP 1.4.2 with Monterey 12.7.4.

I reverted back to OCLP 1.3.0 and Monterey 12.7.3 via fresh install of both, and I recommend the same to you. My iMac is running fine now.

Funny thing is - OCLP 1.4.2 works fine with Ventura 13.6.5 on my 9,1 MBP...

I was wondering if I could copy OCLP 1.4.2 across from my Mac Mini and build it on the 5,1 and update things that way...?
Did you try that?

No, I would not do that, as OCLP is device specific: So it configures itself to the specific device that it is running on.

Why don't you try OCLP 1.4.2 with Monterey 12.7.3 on your cMP?

I understand it's model specific but if I run the 1.4.2 app on the 5,1, even with 12.7.4 installed, won't that help?

I can't easily run 1.4.2 on 12.7.3 as I already updated the system...

copy the OCLP 1.4.2 app on a thumb drive, external drive, whatever… and run it on the Mac Pro letting it build the ESP.

Then reboot and use it to make the post patches. If the wifi dont come back after the next reboot:
