iPhone NEWB Downgrade to 5.1.1

On ios6 and not overly impressed. Very little improved and my battery seems to drop faster than on 5.1.1 overall facebook integration and do not disturb features just dont seem worth while. Plus a few jailbreak tweaks i really miss i am thinking of downgrading.

However i have never ever done this before i am a total newb. http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/09/28/how-to-downgrade-ios-6-to-ios-5-1-1-a4-devices/ i have read that, and i assume cydia has my shsh as i have always been jailbroken.

Is it something i can do? or a as a total newb is it to risky? Also IF i can pull it off will be restore from cloud backup still give me all my pics, contacts etc and stuff back as normal?

Any hints are appreciated.

What device do you have do have shsh blobs. Searching will provide you answers faster btw.

Iphone 4, SHSH on cydia. everything i've read would seem to suggest my phone would go back IF i can manage

Us latest redsn0w 09.15b3

Go to EXTRAS/even more/restore, select 5.1.1 IPSW(download it) now select SHSH (remote) and follow instructions

Seems to have gone without a hitch. Busy resyncing music etc right now on 5.1.1 and then to untether JB again. Delighted its gone well, IOS6 IMO not worth it.

The recommende sequence is jailbrake firts than sync your backup.

Worked like an absolute charm. No loss of any data, JB again with all my fav tweaks back. Battery VERY much better on 5.1.1 over all much better after 1 day back on 5.1.1 than the last few on 6.0.
