Hello there! Thought i would join up as i should be receiving my iMac anytime this week!! I have been using windows for years now but wanted a new venture and decided to "move" over!!
I cant believe how many people have had various problems with the 27" though and got me a bit worried!! I just hoping im going to get a good one out the batch!! I have been so excited about getting it!! Constantly checking the order status lol!
Only thing is still isnt showing a carrier yet or tracking number :( But its got delivery date 14th Jan...
I have discovered the checklist aswell that i need to run through when i get it up and running and will report back!!

Oooo and going by the serial number on the invoice i think i have an 02 week iMac??

Nay :D

Welcome and congrats! That machine is a beast. You'll receive your tracking number once your order has been shipped

I ordered mine too and it's supposed to be shipped on the 19th.
I highly doubt the invoice number is also the serial number of the machine, right?
I'll post in a week.
In total honesty, this is Mac number 4 in my family since 2003 and, with the exception of my wife's MacBook, I always had to return it the first day for some problems.
I have to say though that I'm still using my first Powerbook G4 as if it was brand new, and it's now going for his 7th year of hard work.
Che sera, sera! We'll love the beast!

Yeah mine was shipped on the 5th Jan!!

It says serial number at the bottom of the invoice i got sent through e-mail? Im sure i got told thats where it is! :-D

Congratulations on your new iMac:). If you are new to the Mac remember there are many video tutorials on Apple's website to help ease you through the transition. There is a learning curve that can be frustrating to new users. Let the Mac do things it's way and don't try to force it to be a PC. A great book is "Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual" by David Pogue. His Snow Leopard edition is available on Amazon and probably at the Apple stores. It is a super reference guide that explains the differences and helps guide you through various tasks. Since I have been a PC person at work and at home for 26 years it helped me a lot when I bought my first Mac. Enjoy:D

My i7 is set to 'In Transit to Customer', just wondering when I will get a tracking id!

We shall see!
