Newbie help needed

Hi All,
Joined the macbook pro family 2 weeks ago but having some problems,
hope someone can help me out.

Airport can see my wireless network but keeps dropping the signal and basiclly the internet hangs until I switch off airport and turn it back on..

now Ive been on to tech support advised me to reinstall leopard but prob still exists..

also noticed that in utilities under the conrol app there was 802 errors logged..

Been advised to bring to a help center but should I insist on a replacement macbook pro...

any advice greatly received.....

The airport problem is probably down to leopard there are god knows how
many people with the same issue 10.5.2 should resolve this

The warnings are they SUID?

so its a commom prob do you know if it can be fixed?

sorry but not sure what SUID is

there was so many errors lots of time outs and hanging notifications from apps like Itunes and safari and macmail..

a bit strange its only 2 weeks old and have only used it for surfing the web so far.

Can you test the laptop with another network - something known to be accessible, like at a Starbucks, bookstore or café? That'll at least help you know if the wireless card in the machine is faulty, or if its a software issue.

I have a windows xp system running of the same wirless router and there is not a problem with it..

No one knows for sure when 10.5.2 will be released,soon i hope as ive the
same problem,i whoulnt worry about this until its released if your tried with something
else its leopard

As for SUID warnings go into disk utility and verify disk permissions if
there SUID warnings ignore them, run a repair also just to be on the safe side

Problem is were all heard this until it's released NO ONE knows for sure
only Mr jobs and a few other apple bods

have you tried to switch to another channel ?
I got an issue that was solved by doing so. Not yours and not leopard but worth giving a try.

yeah last night after the reinstall no luck Im afraid same issue...
going to mess around with it agan tonight if I cant get it to work
I'll just bring it to the repair centre and have them fix it.....
