Double click on the trash can and then drag the files to where you want them.Whistleway said:not sure that i should start a thread on this, but, how do i restore files that are in trash to their original location. thanks.
I would love to know how you get this character "?"?jsw said:If you've just thrown something away, you can (while still in Finder) hit ?-Z (undo) to return it. However, after that, I think you're left with manually moving files as mentioned above.
I would love to know how you get this apple command character displayed properly "?-Z"? I always get a "?" instead.jsw said:If you've just thrown something away, you can (while still in Finder) hit ?-Z (undo) to return it. No I am on Mac. Search for it on special Character Palette but to no avail.mad jew said:Are you on a PC? It's just a font issue.
Used to be the keyboard shortcut for "Put Away" in pre-OS X systems. I used to use cmd-Y quite a bit for ejecting disks, since it was faster and easier than dragging the icon to the trash, and cmd-E (eject disk) left the greyed out image of the disk onscreen and sometimes a window would pop up saying somthing like "Please re-insert the disk 'name of disk'" and when you inserted it, it would eject it again and bring up the same dialog box until you did a forced restart, apple-ctrl-reset, oh yeah, gotta love that classic OS.mad jew said:What is APPLE-Y?

Sorry but I don't get you. Whose reply box?mad jew said:....Okay, that's weird. If you CONTROL-CLICK on a reply box and select Font then Show Fonts, what font comes up as highlighted in grey?

I can read the character; the problem is when re-writing it in vB. Maybe it has got to do with my Safarimad jew said:Okay, maybe I misinterpreted, but fayans, can you actually read the character or is the problem re-writing it in vBulletin (these forums)?

That's the tricky part! You have to re-type the HTML character (change the symbol) each time you edit/preview or it will come out as a question markPlymouthbreezer said:But, if you go to edit your post, it (the HTML Character you're trying to make) will turn back to a ?.
