What is a good parallel program to run windows? I have an external HD that has all of my pics and a lot of music on it. I have had it plugged in to my wireless router and the mac. I can't see it on the mac, what am I missing? Will I have to empty it and format? Lots to get used too here so please be patient with me. Thanks, Scott

I think you are referring to Parallels or you can also get VM Ware Fusion. Both allow you to run MS Windows (XP, Vista and Win 7) in a virtual mode while simultaneously running OS X.

As for your external HD being plugged into your router, I'd unplug it from there and plug it in directly to the iMac so it can be seen, if the iMac can't see it then the problem is probably the way it's formatted.
