Hi guys,

I just got my iPhone unlocked the other day and I have a few questions!

Hoping you guys can help me with it.

1. did you guys have to 'condition' your battery out of the box or you can just charge it whenever you want?

2. what kind of battery life do you get?

3. Also, for your playlists, i have lot of songs, is there a way to sort the songs in alphabetical order or group all the artists together in alphabetical order then dispaly their songs?

I find it annoying how the ipod only displays either the name of the artist or song ONLY.

Thanks in advance!

I charge my iPhone up at the end of every day, that way it is ready to go the next morning. It is usually only only down about 25%. I am not aware of any issues with not charging it up fully, although I would give it a full charge over night.

From what I have read, the issue with the battery is that after something like 300 FULL CHARGES it will only retain 80% of it's original life. Since I only charge about 25% each day, I figure that gives me approximately 1,200 days, or over three years before I even have to worry about it.

As far as managing your music on your iPhone, it works the same way as an iPod does. Unless you have a Library that is larger than your iPhone, you would normally sync your entire library to your phone. That way you can listen to whatever you want, whenever you want.

If you can't fit everything on your iPhone, than you have to change the preferences in iTunes to sync selected playlists, and you can pick and chose what you want to sync. On my old 2G nano, I used to sync my favorites, and also a "smart Playlist" that had evertyhing that was added to my library in the last X months. That usually worked for me.

You may also be able to "Drag and Drop" songs from your Library to your iPhone using iTunes, but I am not sure if that works with anything but the shuffle.

Have fun with your new iPhone!

P.S. Since you are new to this and have unlocked your iPhone, make sure you DONT load the 1.1.1 update, until you are sure it works with your unlocking program. From what I have ready over the last 24 hours, all of the unlocking programs have serious issues with 1.1.1 - to the point that your iPhone may not work if you load the update.
