I designed an iweb page 3 days ago, but I don't know if my site is good anough. Only some friends gave me feedback, but I want a real feedback, some critics.
I use iweb, icomment, iweb enhancer. Photoshop for the pics.

You can send me your critics or feedback in my guestbook. THANK YOU

Is there anybody? An iwebber perhaps?

err.. i think the design of that homepage is a bit.. err.. random? ie, all over the place :)
i haven't erally gone any further as it just took me quite by surprise..

remember, the homepage is the first impression of your site

this is just my opinion though :)

it's very, very random, quite frankly it looks like iWeb threw up on the page...no offence. But you've got way to much going on and everything just seems to be floating in space, try some colums or something.

I realize not everyone's page needs to look professional, but I think for a personal website you need something that's at least useable.

Take a look at this guy's site. He posted it on MR as well and it's very clear and easy to navigate. The content is easy to find & read and the graphics and images are all placed so they enhance the content.

Your page has so much going on that it's hard to tell what I'm suppose to look at or click.

Agreed

I agree with the above comments.

Specifically, the homepage is your chance to make a good first impression.

And in this case, take a que from Apple, "better design" does not always mean "more stuff." Simplify what you have, and make everything easy to wade through.

What kind of sites do you like to look at/read? Start with what's common among those sites, and come up with something that's uniquely yours.

The design makes as much of an impression as the content, in some cases :)

More than that - have fun with it....I love to desgin websites, but I can't keep one for more than a few minutes because I'm always wanting to tweak to the appearance...
