This has been happening for a month now but could never figure out why. And it seemed to start happening sometime AFTER installing Leopard.

Today i unplugged everything one by one and found out it's the keyboard waking the system. I have my keyboard plugged into the back and my mouse in the keyboard. I had the mouse plugged into the back and no keyboard hooked up and the system slept fine. I'm not sure what steps can be taken to remedy this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh and i have an iMac G5 iSight i bought in January '06.

Is it the same with the mouse not plugged into the keyboard? How long before it wakes up? I have the same iMac with leopard and I would be willing to try it to see if mine does the same. I currently use the new bluetooth one instead of the crumb catcher.

It seems to be as long as the keyboard is not plugged into the system everything is fine. Otherwise it won't sleep at all. I put it in sleep mode it fully shuts down for about 5 seconds then it powers right back on. So weird and have no clue why. But many weird things have surfaced since my install of 10.5 so who knows, but this one really confuses and annoys me...

Maybe i need to drop some cash for the bluetooth keyboard to make this problem go away.

I just tried this and it didn't wake my iMac. I tried multiple times/ways and it slept stiill.
