Just got a new macbook pro today and this might sounds like a really dumb question. But i cant figure out on how to set a picture that i find on the internet to my background? There are like no directions out there either, or that i can find. Thanks for the help.

There are a few ways to do this. One would be to drag the image to your desktop and then use System Prefs to set that pic file as your desktop. The easiest way would be to Control-Click on the image in the browser and then select "Use Image as Desktop Picture".
