on my imac, how do you take a pic of what you have on the screen?

Command-Shift-3 is the keystroke to take a snap of the whole screen, while Command-Shift-4 will produce a set of crosshairs which let you select a specific area.

command-shift-3, there are a list of keyboard shortcuts you can lookup... I think they were in the international prefs... I'm not sure though (on an XP machine right now)

You can also Command+Shift+4 and then tap space bar. It will take a snap of the next window you click on instead of the whole screen.

I always wondered if you could do that, but I could never find out if you could or not!

Or you can use Grab in the Applications > Utilities folder, if you don't care to remember the short cut.
