NewerTech eSATA Extender Cable

I want to have a bootable external eSATA port for my cMP. As the CalDigit FASTA-6GU3-Plus is not available, I want to try NewerTech eSATA extender cable (https://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/MPQXES2/). Has any body used this cable? Are the eSATA ports bootable?

Bootable yes, but not hot pluggable. These ports will function the same as if they were internal.
