I have a bit of an odd situation here. My parents 2005 Imac is dying. It is one of the first generation Intel Macs. The cooling fan is going out on it, and it will only run for a short time before thermally shutting down. I want to replace it with the newest Imac I can install Snow Leopard on (10.6). My parents are 80+ years old, and are using several programs that will only run on 10.6 or earlier, and are not interested in trying to learn a new OS. So what is the newest machine I can get for them that I can install 10.6 on?
