Hello:

I'm still working with Adobe Creative Suite CS6 in OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion -Early 2009 iMac-).

I had no complaints in these ten years; however this version of macOS is becoming obsolete (currently I'm unable to update Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Dropbox, etc).

Seems like it's time to upgrade it but I'm afraid that CS6 won't work in the newest macOS

My question would be: Which one of the new macOS (after 10.8) would be safe to work with CS6?

Thanks in advance!

P.S.: Apologise to the mod/admin if the threat is in the wrong section.

You might consider...

- Buying a USB3 SSD (this will serve as a second boot drive)
- Install a newer OS onto it (perhaps Low Sierra or High Sierra)
- Migrate your existing apps to the new drive
- See if they work with it.

This way, you can "experiment" with a newer OS before you COMMIT yourself to it.

BTW, a 2009 iMac is getting a little long-in-the-tooth to keep using for that many more years.
You might consider an Apple-refurbished 2017 iMac, or perhaps even a newer 2019.

The 2017 can run Low Sierra (10.12).
Or High Sierra -- IF your Adobe software can run on that (I have no idea if it can/can't).

CS6 works fine on Mojave, Why do you say it doesn’t work on Mojave? It’s a 64bit app
