Hey guys. I know you'll be appalled at this, but I still use Mojave, due to the 3rd party software I run with Logic Pro X. I'm a musician, composer and music teacher. Tell me please, what is the latest MacBook Pro I can buy that will run Mojave? I will max out the RAM as well. Thank you.

I currently have a 15-inch 2018 machine 2.9 GHZ Intel Core processor, 32 GB of memory.

Your only choice for something newer, and still run Mojave natively, would be the 2019 15-inch MBPro.
(keep looking for 64-bit software that will do what you need, not sure how well that Core-i9 will last, considering the higher temps. Do your best to keep it cool... )

2018-2019 MacBook Pro's aren't the best Macs to put your confidence in, because of the butterfly keyboard problems.

If the 2018 MBP fails on you, consider a 2018 Mini, well-equipped. It came new with Mojave, mine is still running it, doing ok. Minis are generally quite reliable and last a long time.

Otherwise, I would suggest that NOW is the time to start "looking ahead" to find 64-bit software that will suit your needs...

Mind telling us what 3rd party software you're using? I might be able to recommend an alternative for Logic.

I vote for the mini 2018 i7 too. Ram is cheaply upgradable to 32 gb, very reliable machine. Even yhe so called 2020 intel model that came with Catalina can be downgraded to mojave. I have done it myself. it is the same model in fact.

Great idea, but I love my studio being mobile. I travel a lot. Thank you.

Thank you guys but there is no chance of switching from Logic Pro. None. I will eventually just need to upgrade my OS and all the 3rd party plug ins, with a new laptop. I have the money... just don't want to interrupt my workflow and I'm looking for the newest / fastest laptop on which I can still run Mojave. I know that OS sounds impossibly old to you.

Also, i realize my 2018 MB Pro with 32 MB of RAM may be the most current machine I can get for this OS. If so, I'll deal with it. Thanks again for any help.

Oh, very cool, thank you. You're sure the 2019 MB Pro 15 can run Mojave? I'll keep it cool.

Tell me guys, is it worth the effort / expense in processing power for me to upgrade to this 2019?

2019 Apple MacBook Pro 15" 560X 4.8GHz i9 32GB RAM 2TB SSD

My machine is a MB Pro 15 inch, 2018 2.9 GHz i9 with 32 GB of RAM.

The 2019 Mac Book Pro (15-inch) shipped new with Mojave installed.
Just in case you want to know, the 2019 16-inch came with Catalina (10.15.1), so no Mojave for that one...

I see. So even if that machine were worth it, it can't run Mojave. Thank you.

From a 2018?
No. Of course not.

Use what you have until it breaks.
And then...
... you'd better be ready to buy something considerably newer...
