I have recently installed the font 'Home sweet home' (http://www.dafont.com/home-sweet-home.font) and it does not show up in any program I try (tested in photoshop and open office). I have validated the font and made sure it is active. I have even tried converting the font to another format but nothing has seemed to work. I have never had any problems with fonts before so am wondering weather it has anything to do with the latest mac upgrade.
