I have a 2018 iMac which I foolishly bought with a mechanical hard drive. It was so slow I barely could use it, so I just had it upgraded to a 1T SSD. I cannot configure the machine because only the up/down arrow keys work. I can choose United States using the up/down keys but the right/left arrow keys do not work so I cannot choose "Continue" to get to the next screen. I am using the Apple Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse that came with the machine. The mouse cursor is stuck at the top left of the screen and will not move with the mouse or anything keyboard keys. Aside from returning to the folks who did the upgrade, are there are any tricks I can try? Both mouse and keyboard are fully charged. I was using the Magic Mouse with an iPad, but unpaired it. Grateful for any insight. BTW, OS is Catalina.

Thank you for the suggestion. Turns out the use of a wired MOUSE allowed me to go ahead and do the setup. I gather this is not a common problem but it certainly was frustrating to deal with.
