trending and top stories have appeared with news sources that are not relevant. Has anyone found a way to to remove them? I thought news was supposed to be an app you can customise your own personalised news instead of being force fed junk you don't want..

Thanks but they are all off!
I think that menu is just for notifications

Yeah, I had issues with attaching files to the post. I dunno why. But yeah, then I don't know if unchecking (on the dropbox link page) doesn't do the trick.

Thanks for attaching the pic! Appreciate the effort
Maybe there will be an answer fo this when the official update comes out next week

top stories is still forced upon users. I have a feeling no matter how many i mute, there will be 100 news channels queued up. This isn't good apple.

If you remove it from your Favorites you should no longer see those articles under the For You section. It however still shows Top Stories in the widget, which I wish was the most recent of my Favorites.

Even if you remove it, it still shows....alogn with 'trending' which shows unrelated articles tooo.

This issue with the "new" News app made me switch to Feedly...

Yes, I also switched back to my old RSS aggregator. I am pretty bummed, because iOS 9 news was pretty much exactly what I wanted, and the iOS 10 version is the opposite.

A.
