News app window bug

I may be very anal but has anyone noticed that it is impossible to get the News app window to retain its size and position once the application is closed and reopened? All other apps will retain the windows size and position. I have reported this to Apple during the beta process but have gotten no response. Does anyone have any solution to this? I know it's a minor issue but I find it very annoying.

I'm confused. What beta process? This is the Monterey forum. macOS Monterey was released almost one year ago.

Yes this issue started with Monterey.

Then I have to guess it's something within your user account. Perhaps you can locate and delete the News app's configuration files. You might also try turning iCloud News sync off and on again.
