I'm excited for this because I currently use Texture and for the same price, Apple offers more magazines that interest me. What I don't like, and maybe I'm missing something, is you can't tag favorite magazines like you can in texture so I have a condensed list of magazines I like. So, it looks like I have to parse the entire list of magazines to find what's new for the handful of ones I want to read. :(

Is there a way to do this?

Yes there is a way to do this. Open the magazine cover and click on the title. This is one of the worst apps I have ever used. It's simply unintuitive and horribly designed.

Sorry if you knew this (ignore if you did), but I feel compelled to tell you that Apple bought Texture last year. Apple News+ actually IS Texture. However, as you are finding out, Apple News (the app, not the service) is about the worst piece of junk Apple has ever released. It's not even beta quality. There's so much wrong with it, I wouldn't even know where to start if I had to create a list.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s come to this conclusion.

2 years have passed since my last post on this topic, and virtually nothing has changed with the app or the service. Clearly, Apple doesn't see News+ as a "growth" product.
