I'm sorry, but Newsstand shouldn't be a mandatory app. I'm not about to read full magazines on my iPhone, and I surely don't want a superfluous app just sitting amongst my other apps. iBooks and Newsstand should be one.

Also, Reminders feels like it should be a part of iCal or Notes. Too little for one app; shouldn't they have made a proper checklist/to-do app?

Just putting that out there.

I agree, books and magazines should be part of the same app, you could switch between multiple shelves.

Let's not butcher the nice iBooks app with Newsstand garbage
Why not?

Keep it separate like the PDF files are in iBooks. Simple, realistic.

Apple has, as of late, been real keen on creating one specific application for each function. Brings up why FaceTime is FaceTime and not iChat, which should take the place of iMessage, etc. Wasn't it always about simplicity, Apple?

No thanks. I rather have the separate News Stand app. That said you should be able to merge it into a folder like iBooks can.

Merge it into a folder? At least that would be an improvement. I'd rather not install it at all. I have no use for iBooks or News Stand.

That's the last thing I want is to have iBooks and newsstand as one app. To me newsstand is worthless, wish I could at least hide the app in a folder...

There is a way to move Newsstand into a folder. Create a new folder by dropping an app on another app. The moment you do that quickly grab the Newsstand app and you'll be able to drop it in that newly created folder as well. Should note however, that at least for me the Newsstand app can not be launched successfully from within the folder. When I attempt to do so I get a black screen with a small loading icon in the center for a second or two, then my iPhone goes straight to the lock screen. To launch the app successfully you just have to take it out of the folder first. That being said, I have no intention of using the Newsstand app on my iPhone, so this solution works well for me.

I would be careful using this bug to create nested folders when iOS does not support them. You may end up breaking something you care about, like successful backups...

Just remember you are exploiting a bug with unknown side effects...
