Newsttand trick not working

I just synced my iPhone and the Newsstand app came out of the folder I had it in and I tried the trick where you create a new folder and put newsstand in there fast but it's not working. Anyone else noticed this?

it works, I tried it yesterday and managed it on the first attempt!
I put it out though, I like the newsstand icon although I see rather limited functionality for hte iPhone.

It seems that after I synced (sunk?) my phone, newstand pulled itself out of its folder.
