Next-Gen Nokias?

Decided I was going to wait for the iPhone to see if the low cost iPhone was worth getting. It isn't.

I unfortunately don't like any of the hardware designs Android comes on besides perhaps Sony's, so that leaves just Nokia.

Looking at Nokia, their designs are awesome, and they hit the price points I'm looking for, but one thing that kinda annoys me is they have last generation internals... CPUs and GPUs...

I'm not a speed freak, or NEED the latest tech, but does this mean that new Nokias are right around the corner? And I am pretty confident that the older the CPU, the more quickly Microsoft will drop support for the phone. What I'm really looking for is a true, bonafide 920 successor... new processor, new camera (not as good as the 1020's, obviously, but perhaps an improved one still), better battery life, slightly updated design, etc.?

I hear of this giant 6 inch 1520 in the works, holy.... moly... not for me, aha.

Sounds like you're leaving yourself no other choice than to wait for the next normal size Nokia, then. *shrug*

We know they're getting the ability to make quad core devices soon, by the end of the year, with GDR 3. Whether or not they'll make one is... I think they will. Maybe you should look into the reported HTC One with WP that HTC is rumored to be coming out with. Also, Microsoft cutting support isn't going to happen. Phones are supposed to be supported for at least 18 months. That's what they said at one point.

The 1520 is supposed to be released with GDR3, a quad core processor and a 1080P display, so I would imagine the successor to the 920 series will be similarly equipped. Unfortunately who knows when they will be released.

WP8 is pretty efficient...even without the latest processors Id say it runs smoother than Android. I still love my 920, even though I somehow managed to crack the screen =(
