This might be a very early thread but after releases like iOS4 and the iPhone 4 the iPad can start to look a little outdated in some features, what do you think?
When? Late 2010-Early 2011
I Definitely see a Gyroscope (iPhone 4 has one) (MacRumor: http://bit.ly/cjltLk
I Possibly see a front camera (based on the empty space in the enclusure (MacRumors URL: http://bit.ly/dDc9AT)
Back Camera? The iPad is big enough to support an iPhone 4 Camera, and it would integrate with the FaceTime, I don't really see it
and Under that, iMovie for iPad? if it would have an HD Cam or you import Video on it Video editing would be very cool
Better Display? A "Retina Display" is not possible since it would basically be 2000x1500 which would be almost as much as a 27" iMac, but what about 1280x960? that would mean 164DPI which is almost the same as the Older iPhone's Resolution, I don't see more than that, and it could be a mess to introduce a new resolution on top of the new Retina iPhones, Old iPhones and current iPads and that's also just 32DPI, would it be worth it?
