I've been sitting here thinking.. What can Apple honestly do to entice me to upgrade from the X to the XS or XS+.. Whatever its going to be call..
Face ID? Nah.. Its already fast enough?
More Gigs? Nah
New Processor? Nah
Faster Wireless Charging? Yes
Better Cameras? Sure.. But not worth another $1000
I think a better screen can really do wonders.. We Only have OLED.. What If Apple gives us Super AMOLED..

I would update in a heartbeat...

Everything is pointing towards the next X being a minor spec bump. This years's hoopla will be all about the larger X plus (or whatever they'll call it).

Which is something that they could’ve introduced last year. It’s almost like they intentionally withheld it so they can have something new to introduce.

The 8 plus already has a very wide keyboard. The X+ will probably be just as wide and no bezel, but texting won’t be any better. Amoled I can take or leave.

am planing on keeping my 8 pluse for a long time i may upgrade when the A13 or A15 chip comes out

Super amoled? You do realize it’s just a marketing term Samsung uses. There is only two types of oled screens. AMOLED where the AM is active matrix and PMOLED which is passive matrix.

Samsung's SAMOLED stands for Saturated color AMOLED :p

Wikipedia quote:
"Super AMOLED" is a marketing term created by device manufacturers for an AMOLED display with an integrated digitizer: the layer that detects touch is integrated into the screen, rather than overlaid on top of it. The display technology itself is not improved. According to Samsung, Super AMOLED reflects one-fifth as much sunlight as the first generation AMOLED.[24][25] Super AMOLED is part of the Pentile matrix family, sometimes abbreviated as SAMOLED. For the Samsung Galaxy S III, which reverted to Super AMOLED instead of the pixelation-free conventional RGB (non-PenTile) Super AMOLED Plus of its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S II, the S III's larger screen size encourages users to hold the phone further from their face to obscure the PenTile effect

I would disagree with this. Last year, Samsung _was_the only manufacturer that could meet Apples demands for the 5.8 iPhone X OLED panel. This year, it’s also rumored that LG will be assisting in supplying the 6.5 OLED panel, which perhaps Samsung cannot supply enough panels if they’re only manufacture for both model OLED iPhones. Perhaps Apple did want to release the 6.5 iPhone X last year hypothetically, but didn’t have the necessary suppliers to assist with A significant amount of OLED panels.

I will need something other than Pencil support to make me upgrade from the X, we've heard nothing new aside from that and iOS 12 is a very dated OS for another year.
