I downloaded the Nextel SMS tone from cydia. It said to install it and then select it using winterboard, then to select the "bell" tone and the nextel chirp would take the place of the "bell" tone.

I did all that and when I "preview" the bell tone I hear the chirp - when I select it, then receive an SMS I hear the bell tone - what gives? I have rebooted my phone after selecting it etc and I still can't get the Nextel chirp to sound when I receive an SMS.

Does anyone know where the winterboard folder is so I can SSH into my phone and grab the Nextel Chirp and rename it to a .caf for the SMS tones. Or can anyone tell me where the Nextel Chip resides so I can grab it??

Thanks!!!!

Alot of the theme and SMS stuff has not been updated to 3.0. If you have updated to 3.0, that could be the problem.

Yes, you can SSH as many as 6 replacment .caf sounds to replace the original, but you have to name them the exact same as the original.

Thanks for that file - I don't suppose you have the one without the "beep-beep" at the beginning do you?
