I just got my 32gb Nexus 10 and I'm on it right now so I figured I'd do a quick review of my initial experience for those interested.

Build Quality - Its excellent to say the least. I'm coming from a Motorola Xoom which felt mil spec. This feels a bit more fragile if I were to drop it but no more then my iPhone 4S. It feels great and I'd argue it as good as an iPad so I'd expect that if you plan on getting one. Its back is rubbery and it has a good amount of bexel to hold onto. Its fairly light too.

Speed - Its as fast as lightning. I haven't set anything up yet because all my apps are downloading in the background from my Google account but even still its quite impressive.

Hybrid UI - meh, not exactly thrilled about it. I really liked the tablet UI, I feel the notifications at the bottom with the on screen buttons worked and were a good use of space. I don't see the point of a status bar at the top on a tablet.

Display - holy crap, it goes with saying this easily rivals my girl friends iPad 3. This is the key feature of the tablet so there is no sense with going into to great of detail, its great.

Speakers - stereo speakers on the front. They sound great way better then any other tablet I've used.

Camera - Both are pretty good, better then I'll ever need on a tablet. The photosphere thing works pprreettyy good but not perfect. Much better then any 360 degree app I've ever used be it from Android or Apple however Microsoft's photo synth is pretty decent in iOS.

Haptic feedback? - yeah I didn't see that coming, this thing has a vibration device in it...

Charging - This might actually be an issue but I'm not sure yet. It uses a 2 amp USB charger. Battery life has gone up 3% since I started typing this. My Xoom charged extremely fast so I've kind have been spoiled.

Ports - micro USB and 3.5 headphone jack on the left. Micro HDMI on the right. Dock "dots"on the bottom. Keep in mind I'm talking about landscape mode for all these orientations.

Apps - So far everything seems OK. I've noticed the menus are a little small in games like angry birds but the game itself looks great. Games like Doom don't look any better or worse then they did on my Xoom however the colors look much better.

On screen buttons - they auto hide during video now, this is a welcome change from my Xoom where they would turn into little dots. They seem to do this in video apps like HBO go, Netflix which is nice. They still turn to dots when view pictures.

I guess that's it for now. There are still a billion things for me to use but for the most part this tablet is pure win right now. I still can't believe how fast it is and how beautiful the screen looks. If you guess have any question or anything to test out just let me know.

Great first impressions.

Let us know how you're finding GPU performance on more 3d intensive games at that resolution.

I'm not sure if Santa is bringing me one this year but I wouldn't say no if wifey bought me one. :D

Sounds like it's a pretty good tablet. I'd be more interested in getting this over the N7. Please post more impressions when you get the time.

Also, what do you mean by the haptic feedback?

Like what? Dead trigger set to its highest resolution looks great and is very smooth.

PlayStation emulators that use to stutter at times on my Xoom even when overclocked are now nice an smooth.

Its definitely a powerful device.

The resolution is a concern of mine but stuff will get updated. Marble madness which is a phone only app played on my Xoom because it could scale but I just get a black screen on my N10.

Sweet impressions, been thinking of getting an N10. How does the tablet look from the front? From the pics I saw it kinda has a slight oval shape. I'm guessing it's to appease the Apple ambulance chasers. :p

My Xoom didn't, nor does my Nexus 7 (no vibrating motor)
My Asus Transformer Prime did however.

That might be the one thing I hate about my Nexus 7! It just feels so weird going from my GS3 to the Nexus 7 and have no haptic feedback.

Congrats! I'm about to buy one.

My biggest question would be how comfortable do you find the tablet to be in portrait mode? I usually like to use it in portrait, probably because I've used my iPad that way for 2 years. Does it feel too heavy in portrait?

I've seen a weird bug in xda where the screen moves from side to side in portrait when using chrome or another web browser. Can you check if you see it too? There's a thread on the nexus 10 forum and it seems two people have it.

Also, are you having trouble with being unable to install some apps because of incompatibility? I plan on installing metal slug 3, for example, and tTorrent. Could you check in the play store if they appear compatible with the device?

I'll play emulators like you :D:D do they look good or bad in the big screen? Just imagine playing donkey Kong on that big screen!

Have you tried reading PDFs on it?

I want mine now! :D:D:D I hate waiting...

PS: have you checked if you have light bleed? There seems to be a lot of people with it. I hope not everyone has it.

I didnt get a Nexus 10 but today did purchase a tablet for the very first time. Got a Nexus 7 and it isnt even for me, it is for the Wife. They were sold out of the 32 GB version that was $20 cheaper than the original price but for her, 16GB is well more than enough.
Thing is , i cant try it out till Xmas. All i can do is stare at the box. For $199, pretty darn good deal imo.

I'm at work now and didn't bring it with but I'll check those apps when I get home the same with the side to side thing.

I started with an Android tablet so I'm used to landscape mode. I rarely use it in portrait because of the screen ratio.

Emulators look fine. I grew up playing these games on a bigger screen then 10" anyway.

Pdf's look very sharp and work great.

I'll check app compatibility of those two things tonight.

Edit: both metal slug 3 and ttorent are compatible with the n10. I'm not going to install them because ms3 cost $ and I don't use a torrent but ttorent looks nice its has a tablet view.

Sweet deal! I knew about the $20 off for the 32GB @ Office Depot but I wasn't aware the 16GB model was $20 off as well.

Thanks!

The side to side effect is kinda like a wave effect when you scroll down and up on a webpage, for example. My guess it's a software bug.

Edit: wow! Just tried to replicate this bug on the iPad 3 and it too has it! On macrumors forum you go a thread and scroll slowly up and down and you will see how text and lines move like a wave... really weird. It's less pronounced than on the nexus but it's there too.

I'm trying everything I can but I can't see this wave effect. Either it doesn't have it or one of those things only certain people can see like back when DLP TV was popular and a few people couldn't watch them....

Will buy mine tomorrow probably. I hope it arrives this week.

I tried the iPad 3 for a couple of hours today and I get so bored by it... I need a file explorer mainly. I want my next tablet to be more like a laptop than a toy.

I also like the transformer infinity with it's keyboard and microSD, but reading the forums on xda it seems it has a I/O issue, like a bottleneck, which makes it lag.

So it's a nexus 10 for me. Android has grown on me. It's the kind of OS that was designed for hardcore users like me.
