I'm really in a bind right now about my upcoming mobile setup. Basically I need something to be fully compatible with Google Drive services as I'm taking a lot of notes and creating power points and in that retrospect the Chromebook shines. When I'm not working I'd like to have a good recreational device, though, which is why I'm also interested in the Nexus line up. My biggest question would be "is the Nexus 10 fully compatible with Google Drive"? If so, would the Nexus 10 combined with a keyboard case be a better solution than a Nexus 7 and a Chromebook?

Nexus 7 and Chromebook Combo OR Nexus 10?

At this point, I'd say that your best bet would be to wait and see what the new Nexus 10 is like. As a guess, that plus a keyboard is likely your best bet. I have an N7 and a Chromebook. I like them. But... a single device likely would be best IMO. The Nexii do fine with Drive and all the other Google products.
I've not used the nexus 10 but I have a chrome book and I've owned the nexus 7 in the past and I have a 10 inch Samsung tablet and ipad mini. I'd say if you want to do typing and create power points, any combo containing the chromebook is the way to go. When I first got my galaxy tab I thought I'd use it for typing and bought 2 external keyboards to use for this. You can create word documents and presentations using a tablet but it doesn't compare to the ease with which you will get things done on the chromebook.
Nothing beats a physical keyboard. I have the Acer c720 and it blows my previous Samsung chrome book out of the water in all aspects. I feel I don't really need a tablet with the chrome book
how is the screen on that chrome book? probably not as nice as an macbook air, but is it at least decent?
It's decent and usable but not extraordinary. Fine when viewing directly as opposed to at an angle. If the resolution suits you, the screen isn't an issue. The best part? If you crack it somehow, you can replace it for ~$50 with nothing more than a screwdriver and 5 minutes (I know - I've done it).
This sums the screen up. Don't expect something as good as a Mac air, but it is decent. Viewing angles are pretty poor, but when I am using a notebook I always sit head on. At $249 you get a beast of a machine. I pretty much use Google drive for everything so it is perfect. I believe best buy has them of display.
i love the idea of chromebooks, and i've been moving all my crap to google drive. i breifly had a pixel i bought off ebay for $500 less than google's price. i loved everything about the device EXCEPT the heat it produced. It practically burned my thighs everytime it was on on my lap. i've since been looking for a decent chromebook that does not heat up.

Yeah the hp 11 has an IPS screen which is really good especially for the price. Its better than the screen in all the non retina apple laptops.
