Hey guys I have a tough decision, should I get a Note 2 or a Nexus 7.
My main reason for getting the device is to have fun with android as I have a few apps that aren't on iOS as my phone is iPhone 5.

If I were to get the note 2 I could get it at upgrade pricing plus an additional $50 off for being a loyal customer of Verizon.

My main reason for wanting a nexus 7 was because I could tether my phone and get google maps for my many trips and use it as a media consumption device for Ted talks YouTube.

I was considering the note 2 because I could get it at the same price of the nexus could use it as a backup phone should my iPhone battery die and the same uses I could use the nexus 7 for.

Your thoughts?

The nexus will give you a pure android experience which is nice. But the note has the Wacom digitizer plus software to utilize it. Split screen app usage is really cool too, but you will be at the mercy of Samsung for updates unless you decide to root, even then I'd question whether you might lose some of that touch wiz functionality for the digitizer.

Also do you think you could deal with a note size phone? Sure the nexus 7 is bigger but you won't be carrying it around like you would a phone. That and nexus status would be my only hold up on getting the note 2.
