Nexus 7 Won't Charge or Turn On

I have first gen Nexus 7. It was my mom's. She said one day the battery died completely and it hasn't worked since. She was using the first party charger that came with it. I have also tried other chargers.

I have tried leaving it plugged in over night and plugging it in to my Macbook. Nothing has worked so far. I did notice that the charger feels a little loose in the port, perhaps there is some damage there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try holding down the power button for a full 30 seconds. My original Nexus 7 was doing the same and this helped.

Tried that too. Still nothing.
