NFC Not Working (MagSafe Wallet Find My, NFC Tags, Apple Pay)

Got the new MagSafe wallet and it won't show up for Find My on my iPhone 13. I saw that it uses NFC for that so I tried scanning the NFC tag on my Apple Card Envelope and it doesn't do anything either. I have also heard from a few people that contactless payment in Wallet stopped working on their iPhone 12 after updating to iOS 15. Anyone else having issues with things that use NFC?

My husband is having the same problem with his wallet and new 13 pro max. Hope there’s a solution. We tried lie, three MagSafe wallets and none prompt the box to show up to add it to find my.

I talked to Apple again they ran diagnostics and said all was normal. They sent everything to engineering and will call back Wednesday. Senior rep said looks like something to do with iOS 15.

Mine has not worked either. iPhone 13 Pro Max. I also just did the iOS15 software update notification I just got and it still doesnt work. It also did not work on my iPhone 12 when I got the wallet.

Seems to be iOS 15 related rather than an iPhone 13 hardware issue then.

It’s weird because we bought the same phone, mine works his doesn’t. He’s trying to reset it now to see it that works.

I definitely don’t think it’s NFC related as my YubiKey just was found by NFC. I’ve also already used ApplePay on the new phone.

So he reset his phone, and it made the animation come up but it didn’t add it. However he was able to add it manually from the find my app and now it works. We can both see it on the find my app under his devices.

I am on 15.1 Beta so it won't let me restore as the IPSW doesn't look like it's uploaded for the 13s yet. But I did try adding in Find My and it doesn't detect me putting the wallet on.

I just sent my wallet back. I’m back to the one from last year. I’ll take it as my sign I didn’t need it.

My Wisteria MagSafe wallet also has this same problem—I never get the prompt to connect to Find My (though I do get haptics and the circle animation showing that it knows it's connected.)

Am in the same boat. iP 13 Pro Max. 2 different wallets. both are not recognized besides a beep when attached

I have changed my old SE for this iPhone 8 Plus with the new iOS 15. Now I can't use Apple Pay anymore. I tried everything, reset, etc., including changing the iPhone. The store changed the iPhone for another one and the problem persist, meaning it is something in my personal stuff that is copied to the new hardware, probably some setting related to the old hardware that won't work in the new one but the system won't fix by itself. Everything seems to works, but the NFC won't talk with the counterpart - there is a simple lack of communication.

If the reset won't work, what else can we do?

Ok this will be a little long.. I had the same problem reading NFC tags. Not the wallet but other NFC stickers etc. I use them for automations etc. I tried everything before calling apple. .they ran diagnostic . no luck. just one to apple store.. they could find anything wrong but agree there is an issue.. we erased the phone and tried again.. no luck.. they wanted to send my 2 week old iPhone 13 pro max back for repair instead of replacing.. I took it home and did this.. Reinstalled iOS from Mac. still no luck.. Installed developer 15.2.. no luck.. downgraded via recovery mode... no luck.. it has to be a defective chip. We went around the apple store checking phones and found a few that would scan.. So I think tis is a wide issue.. NFC Gate is here.. I also tried using NFC Tools App to test.. won't read anything .. My wife has the 512gb version and hers works fine.. Mine is the 1tb. Not sure what to do.. Im going to complain some more to apple and try and get it replaced.. The downside it took me 2 weeks to get this model...
