NFC on iPhone 7?

I had a few NFC tags sitting around that I'd messed with in my Windows Phone days.

Installed the iOS 11 public preview but can't seem to read those tags. Do I need to do anything special? Is a special app required?

The tags are just URLs and a tel: number.

My guess is, similar to a handful of iOS 11 specific features, it's not functional yet.

It is functional but you need an app to use it.
