I have a program to do for my final project in programming logics class and i am not sure what to do. I know i should be creative and invent something, thats exactly what i was going to do. But the teacher apearantly gave permission for us to do someting that already exist , (eg. hangman, battle ship, snake, etc.) what do you guys reccommend? Most of the class are just taking their stuff from the internet and manipulating the codes. So what do you guys think would be interesting and simple at the sametime.

Is this a high school class, College/University class? How much time do you have to do it? Are there any requirements? ect...?

university class. I have two weeks to do finish the project in question. When i asked the professor how i could raise my grade from 9 to 10 he perosnally told me that the more complicated i make the program the better the grade. I can use functions i never learned in the class, etc.

If you know network programming, you could make a simple chat client and server.

You could make a minesweeper game easily if you know how to do graphical user interfaces. :D

The point really is to show that you can organize the program and design something -- don't worry too much if the program isn't that interesting.

How about a 2-player checkers game...playable over the internet? If you know Java and you're good at it, you could knock this out by working your butt off for 2 weeks.

To make it simpler, consider 2 player tic-tac-toe or connect 4. (Don't have to handle drag-and-drop with those games.)
