I read about one of the big bookshop chains introducing their own eReader for downloadable books. Guess what, you have to actually go into one of their stores to buy them and download them in-store. This fantastic innovative leap into the 21st century will happen sometime later this year, maybe 2011.
F*** them. Retailers and publishers alike. Here both are pretty much intertwined anyway, which is the problem. They don't want to lose the control they enjoy. I hope a lot of them go out of business for their shortsightedness and refusal to adapt to a changing market.
