The official answer...

QUESTION: Are holidays included in Nights and Weekends?

ANSWER: Holidays are not usually included in Nights and Weekends. Nights and Weekends are generally defined as "Nights" from 9 p.m. to 5:59 a.m., Monday through Thursday, and "Weekends" as 9 p.m. Friday night until 5:59 a.m. Monday morning, in the time zone from which the call was placed. Some calling plans may have a different definition of "Nights and Weekends", as detailed in your contract or Customer Service Summary.

AT&T bought Cingular. But otherwise my statement is still correct is it not?
Your statement is right, but AT&T didn't buy Cingular.
Actually, AT&T Wireless was purchased by Cingular (a combination of SBC and Bellsouth) in the early 2000's. Then, AT&T purchased Cingular last year to create AT&T Mobility.

AT&T didn't buy Cingular per se. Cingular Wireless brought AT&T Wireless. While SBC brought AT&T. SBC owns Cingular Wireless so they chose to rebrand themselves as AT&T.
Formerly a joint venture between SBC Communications and BellSouth, Cingular Wireless soon acquired the old AT&T Wireless; SBC later acquired the original AT&T and rebranded as "the new AT&T". Cingular became wholly-owned by the new AT&T in December 2006 as a result of AT&T's acquisition of BellSouth.

The service is now branded as simply AT&T.
