Nightstand charging

Hi. I have an AW3. Noticed lately that throughout the night my watch will light up and ping (charging sound) every 10-15 minutes. The watch is steady on my nightstand and the nightstand is not moving.

Is this normal?

I wonder if it is not set on the charger completely. Have you tried a different charger set up? My Series 2 doesn't do that.

it should not ping, unless it's disconnecting / connecting from the charger.

sounds like either the watch to charger connection, or maybe a connection at the USB power supply, or the usb power supply itself might be loose / bad.
maybe the power brick is just loose in the outlet?
