Hey everybody, I want to get into running and think the iPod Nike+ adapter would be really great. What I want to know is should I buy one now or is a new adapter going to be released soon?

I ask this because I remember reading that the adapter may be upgraded to work with the iPhone and iPod touch(which i have in addition to a nano). If this addition is just a software upgrade that would work with the old hardware then great but if its a new device entirely I dont want to waste the $30.

Anyone heard anything about this?

Thanks

The adapter should stay the same, I know they've talked about (and have released) additional products to the line that you can use without the Nano like the SportBand but the dock connector interface for the iPod will remain the same .

Don't forget you need a pair of shoes from the Nike + line or else you won't have a place to put the sensor. If you don't have them, then you'll have to find a way to stick in your shoe without making it uncomfortable.
