Looks like solid rumours have surfaced on the new Nikon D750: Nikon Rumors

Of course these specs are unconfirmed by Nikon but the official details should be released tomorrow or Friday.

So far, this is looking like a very nice camera - in some ways a 24 MP D810... The camera many Nikon users have been asking for.

Time will tell but it looks promising.

Looks like a slightly improved D610 in a bulkier body.
2150€ is a reasonable price.
 
Let's see...I bought my D90 in 2008 for around $900. I've owned it 6 years so that's $150 a year.

The D750 should be around $2700 (US) so that would be about $450 a year for the same 6 year life span.

But...the D750 is at least 4x better than the D90 so $450/4 = $112 a year. The D750 is cheaper than my D90! :eek:

Perhaps I need to forget my desired D610 upgrade and jump right to the D750? It only makes sense economically. :cool:

In either case I'd wait for photokina.
I guess used D600 prices will come down then, too.

I have an old point & shoot in storage somewhere. I bought it in 2004 for $500. I've owned it for 10 years so that's $50 a year.

The D750 should be around $2700 (US) so that would be about $270 a year for the same 10 year life span.

But...the D750 is at least 20x better than the p&s so $270/20 = $13.50 a year. The D750 is way cheaper than my p&s. What a deal! :)

I'm going to try to sell this to Mrs. Cheese&Apple tonight...wish me luck.

Mine called me today to tell me she got a small raise and a bonus. I said great! WE can buy a lens now! She didn't like that math either.:confused:

Actually, she's an artist so she kind of understands expensive stuff. Ever priced out a real quality set of soft pastels? And, they have to be replaced.
 
Looks like good specs. I would spend the extra money for the d750 over the d610.

I wish the video would have built in peaking for focus. Does anyone know if nikon removed the AA filter? Trade in my D7100? :confused:

At a price of just a bit more than the D610…well done Nikon. Although, I'm sure we'll probably see the price of the D610 start to come down.

With built-in Wi-Fi, the tilt screen and the same autofocus and metering system as the D4S and D810, I can't imagine choosing a D610 over the D750.

Is it enough to upgrade from a D7100? Only you will know the answer to that. Is it enough for me to upgrade from a D600…maybe. I'll wait to be sure that there is an improvement on the already great low noise capability of the D600.

Apparently it does have an optical lowpass (anti-aliasing) filter. Photography Life

In Germany introduction price will be 2150€. The D610 is 1550€ new.
600€ is not a bit imo. It's a though choice and I think DF and D8XX prices will drop, too.
 
I was hoping their next FX would be completely electronic. I wish Nikon would get rid of the mechanical shutter in their entire DSLR line up.

Two huge benefits are the ability for the camera to work in absolute silence wen taking photos, and the ability to sync a flash at any speed.

Regarding the sync speed point, Nikon cameras were able to do this way back around the time of the D1 / D100 / D70 / D50 because they used CCD sensors. The change to CMOS improved image quality, but they said it made this feature impossible. Now that every new Nikon DSLR can shoot video, surely this option should be viable again - I have no idea why they haven't reintroduced it.

Gives them something to add to the D5/D850/D7200/D9000 maybe?
