Hi there,
we put up a website with some info at: http://www.nikotel.com/nikotalkie.html and will add more info over the weekend. The next days we will post several pretty cool updates to it. It is kind of like push to talk with the difference that the people you are sending to can be offline right now and will get the message once they log in. The main advantage is the instant way of communication without dialing, waiting, tracking people down.. Next week we will release another version for other types of mobile phones and desktop versions are almost finished as well. Next thing will be picture and video support so you can send something like platform independant MMS on steroids;-) You then will be able to send to a list of people as well.

Everything else works for me, so I know it's not my phone...

now it works and lets me sign on and record a message and hear it.. but it does not send when I hit send.
I am correct in you can send it to a user name right? It does not have to be a email adress?

today we released a new version (1.0.1). I am not sure if its already in the installer but you can download it at http://www.nikotalkie.com or wait till it's in the official repositories which make the installation of course 100 times easier.
Changes:
* network fixes
* changes to inbox
* history of recipients. never again type a username twice (yeah

Sounds awesome. Is there a desktop client for it? I only know a couple other people with iPhones.
Digging up an old thread. Does this app still work? When I try to register it says "Unknown error trying to sign up. Please check network status. If this error continues, please contact Niketalkie support." My phone connection is fine. But their support site is also down? Is Nikotalkie dead?
