I have been reading about the Nito TV option for my Apple TV. One question that I can't seem to find the answer of though is...

If I install Nito TV so that it can read an external HDD for all the itunes compatible movie then do I still get to find the media in the same menus and sorted within anything that I have saved on the Apple TV in the traditional way? Or do I have to go through a different menu and section? I just don't want to have to go through multiple menus to try and find different media that I have on the system, I download a lot through iTunes and so I don't want to have everything separate. I'm not worried about playing different file formats, just want more space!!

Cheers

PS. Sorry if anyone is getting annoyed with all my posts lately with different questions that have been asked many times!!

There will be a new menu "column" called NitoTV that will have its own sub-categories like accessing external files with codecs that the ATV doesn't internally support, installing applications, some networking things, etc. All of the regular menu items are the same as they were before the install, meaning you'll still look for your iTunes movies in the Movies category and so forth.

I've done this with my own system, and now enjoy 2TB of (almost full) storage of music and movies from my own collection. You'll love it; enjoy!

It is an easy way to install the Nito TV, For that you just have to do copy the Nito TV folder from the Nito TV installer zip into your Apple TV. Then You need to first install the current version 0.3.1 on the Apple TV.
