NitoTV question

Hi there.

Im thinking of getting a Apple tv but im concerned that it doesnt support Divx, Xvid. I did a bit of research and see that it can be hack... but that looks like a massive pain. And then i found NitoTV..

Is this what i need to play Divx, xvid,avi etc on the apple tv...?

just really need confirming.. or if it doesnt what would you suggest i do..without having to hack it..

Hi,

I'm using ATVFiles on my AppleTV for watching divx, avi, etc. files. You can find this in the AwkwardTV wiki, too. http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/ATVFiles
Engadget has a nice tutorial for installing it http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/10/how-to-play-divx-and-xvid-on-your-apple-tv/

I also mounted NFS shares from my file server on the AppleTV to access all my video files I have on my server. It works great.
