wont let me open the preferences for it. whenever i try immediately crashes to safe mode :(
iphone 4 gsm 5.1.1

Just bought it. I enabled Chrome, Facebook and Tweetbot. I really hope it makes Facebook a usable app now.

I downloaded and installed the tweak. I have a lot of apps installed and the preferences pane did not crash on me. Im on a 4S on 5.1.1. Just wanted to throw that out there. I'll report back if I notice any boost in performance.

Installed and ran Browsermark on both Safari & Chrome (iOS 5.1.1) and here are my results:

Safari: 86,xxx
Chrome: 76,xxx

It's a HUGE improvement for Chrome! Prior to this tweak I'd only get like 5x,xxx or something but with Nitrous installed and turned on for Chrome it's as fast as Safari now!

I also ran the webkit java test and my results in Chrome are actually better than Safari! Also, Facebook is 5x faster with Nitrous on as well!

Overall I'm very very impressed with this tweak, it's one of the best $99 cents I've ever spent lol!! Support the developer and do NOT download the hacked version (if any)!!

Yeah after I posted just decided to take the plunge, and so far do good Facebook seems a lot faster, honestly don't see any reason to use safari at all anymore. No crashes and quite a but of tweaks.

Just purchased it but restarts springboard in safe mode. (4s, 5.1.1)

It must be conflicting with other tweaks you have installed. I keep my tweaks at a minimum to minimize the lag, that means no Winterboard and no other nonsense tweaks.

Here's what I have installed:

Color Profiles
KillBackground
Nitrous
PhotoAlbums+
Safari Download Enabler

That's it... my 4S is as fast as stock and NEVER crashes.

Looks promising.. Would love to try but these reports of crashes is gonna make me wait a couple days to see it doesn't screw anything up. I know I can just uninstall but all cydia apps leave trails even after uninstalling in preferences folder.

I have received confirmation from joedj, the developer of Nitrous, that he has fixed the crashing bug and the fix will be added to Cydia soon.

Just bought it and I picked the apps in Settings. No crashes. Does this speed any of the apps listed? I turned it on for apps like Tweetbot and Whatsapp too.

works great with chrome, I can tell a difference...can't tell any difference with facebook though :-(

The developer has a beta repo there you can find a new beta of nitrous.

The beta works for me.

Not sure, but I can def. tell the difference on Facebook though. Chrome is my main browser now baby! Lovin' NITROUS!

I turned it on for all of my apps except for games. Not sure how it would improve games so I left it off. But for all my other apps I've turned it on: espn, espn Boston, SI, Zite, bruins app, twitter, chrome, dolphin, etc. maybe I'm naive and it's a placebo, but these apps have never been this quick. Of course this only helps apps that use webkit. I feel like my apps are loading full stories in the same time it would load just the very beginning. It's actually VERY impressive. I recommend it so far. Real world comparisons it's only a slight advantage, but overall information loads faster than it did before which means I can start scrolling sooner than before when I had to wait for more text to load.

Edit: I've also installed the TCP Optimizer tweak which I also recommend. Between those two tweaks, I have no reservations when I say my Internet speeds and loading times have improved with both of these tweaks installed.

Good call on the TCP Optimizer tweak! I'm downloading it right now! lol :D

I installed it on my New iPad (iPad 3) and did a benchmark test and got great results.
