I've been reading that USB 3.0 hubs can cause wireless interference with protocals like Wi-Fi and bluetooth on some Macs. Does anyone use one with a new Mac Pro without any interference? If so. can I know the model? Thanks.

I've looked at the reviews on Amazon and I am hard pressed to find a hub that someone isn't complaining about interference with some sort of Mac. Unless the new Mac Pro is less prone to it. Maybe I should forget the idea of buying one.

Operate your nMP on a 5Ghz Wifi band instead of 2.4Ghz. Problem solved and you enjoy the much faster speeds of 802.11ac. Unfortunately, BT would still be a problem.

I have no idea how USB 3.0 ever got approved considering how badly it interferes with BT and WiFi in so many cases, even for factory examples like an Apple Mac Mini with no hub at all.

To be fair, I also blame the BT standard. I have little to no issues with BT & USB 3.0. Bot get this... I have BT issues when using the DVD drive. The same complaints that most users have when using USB 3.0 drives. Both standards are messy it seems.

I am having a helluva time trying to find a good USB 3.0 hub that won't interfere with the Magic Trackpad. I have done troubleshooting, and confirmed the 7-port HooToo UH04 hub (when plugged in to AC power) causes the Trackpad to sputter and misbehave. I have moved the hub as far away from the computer as possible, with little relief.
