Just got around to post due to setting up nMP 6core/16GB/1TB/D500 and I haven't really dug into it yet but so far I'm impressed. Very powerful and fast. Just hooked up my pegasus 2 and now I'm bout ready to rock. It took forever to get here but it was worth the wait. So I'd say to those who are still waiting hold on. ITS WORTH THE WAIT. No problems I've seen YET!!!!!!

Congrats!

Are you working in a full Mac environment or a mix of Windows as well? :D

If it took forever for you to wait ... Mine is only coming up somewhere in february

But, congrats on your new machine! It's going to be a pleasure to work/create

Pegasus 2 Drives?

What drives are you using in the Pegasus 2? Was it reasonably easy to set up? Did you establish a RAID or JBODs?

I got the R4 with the 4 2TB that was already installed. Setup was a no brainer. It came config for raid 5 and there was a sync process it went thru for about 10-12 hrs. However it doesn't stop you from working with it. It just slows down the syncing. Far as I see now working with video/ photos from pegasus ..... Is like instantly. Everything is quite. I have a g-technology E-Speed drive from my oMP and the pegasus is NO WHERE NEAR the noise the e-speed is.
Far as sleep.... It's instant.
Very happy with all purchases.

Disregard the oMP 4,1 I haven't sold it yet.

Nice setup, looking good. Best of luck with it.

Now I just have to wait till Febuary for mine to arrive.:(

Mine arrived January 2nd.

That's nice. I had a cintq but sent it back. Thinking of getting another one tho but let me ask how are you hooking that up to nMP? Cause on my oMP I had to buy a video card for it alone. If I member correct it had a DVI connection.

Ahhh.... Dumb me. I'd guess the apple dvi adapter that's $99?

NICE

The Cintiq is connected with mini displayport to DVI (single adaptor) The HP LP2480ZX Dreamcolor monitor is connected with a mini displayport to displayport adapter. This is the first MacPro/OS combination that can output a true 10bit signal to this type of color accurate rbg led backlit display.

Ok that's what I thought. I'm thinking of getting the 24"HD touch Cintiq. Probably after I find maybe a reasonable 4k display. So I'm guessing the companion is portable if need be? But you do have a nice setup there. So let me ask how is everything working together? Any hiccups? I was told that the mini display port (single) wouldn't work for my 2nd display. I have one to think tomorrow I'm gonna just try it and see

thanks for posting that pic. i have a pegasus2 on the way and although i know the dimensions of both it and the nMP it is great to see them side-by-side. when shown that way they look smaller than i imagine.

Cool I should have a similar setup.. I have a 6 core nMP, P2 R2 diskless, and the easy-switch logitch keyboard all on order same as you.

Have you been using the keyboard long? What drives do you have in the P2 R4? I was planning to run 4x2Tb in raid 5.

PS. Is there a newer HDD compatibility chart from Promise? The newest I've found is v.1.8 from July 30th 2013. Which doesn't even list WD drives as a compatible option.
