nMP flickering :O

Hello,

So i woke up this morning and turned on my tv where my nMP is connected to and i noticed rainbow flickering at the bottom of my tv, then it went black then on again, so after that i restarted and now everything is fine.

Do i need to get worried?
What does this issue mean?

Update: so far all is well :)

It's a sign that the thing is about to explode. The thermal core is reaching critical mass. Unplug your nMP and toss it like a grenade out your back door!
 
For the last year or so Apple made changes to the graphics subsystem which has been demonstrating glitches like this. I see it across the board, MBP's and MP's. Burns me up, Apple will get bugs like this and take forever to fix them. It's a myth that OS X is bug free, I'd just say "less buggy than most, as long as you stay within a vanilla Mac".

I checked the hdmi cable to make sure its connected safely. Its all good
 
Is this localized when you hook it up to your TV or Does this occur when you hook the nMP up to a monitor as well?

Yea i think so, i remember my 2010 imac had the worst heating issues when i used it with final cut, grey shadow and flickering all over. The design was the main problem, to have the display that near to the heat of the motherboards hardware.

Slughead, didn't you mean toss it in a shipping box and send to you and you would de-bug it over the next year or two? :) (of course you could be standing just outside their back door, wearing a catchers mitt)

February has the least number of days of any month. But as far as I am concerned it still has to many days. Running out of room. Have extra ram, new hubs and new drives and drive enclosures piled up like cord-wood around me.:eek:
