My nMP has just malfunctioned. Here is the configuration: Mac Pro 2013, 6 Core / 32GB / 1TB SSD / D500.
The machine won't boot. When booted into Recovery Mode it doesn't see either of the two Drobos where it was backed up with Time Machine to try to attempt to do a restore from TM backup. Additionally it won't reinstall OS X from Recovery Mode.
The Apple Care rep wanted me to take the machine to an Apple Retail store. But the closest one is 300 miles.
I asked him to replace the computer. He said it did not meet the criteria for replacement as it had not had a number of previous hardware repairs.
The rep is supposed to call me back today with resolution that would have me shipping the machine back to Apple for repair.
Would appreciate any recommendations on the best way to deal with Apple Care to get a satisfactory resolution. Does Apple have a customer advocate office where one can try to get these issues resolved?
Thanks
