Hi guys, would like your comments about my nMP.
I've been using iStat Menu 5 for quite some time now, and today I had a look at the stats of my nMP, and was alarmed to see the temperature of my ambient sensor 2 about 10℃ higher than ambient sensor 1 and sensor 3, highlighted in red. If you guys don't mind taking a look at my stats, I would really appreciate it.
Just a brief overview, my system is nMP 8-core, D700, 1tb SSD, 64GB Ram, with dual 27" TB Cinema Displays. The nMP is is placed at the right end of the dual displays, against a wall with a 2-inch gap.
Here are the stats, in celcius and corresponding values in fahrenheit.
I can't explain why the temperatures for ambient sensor 2 varies so much from the other 2. The only guess I could come up with is probably dusts getting sucked into the system and perhaps disrupted the airflow to the ambient sensors. My table can get rather dusty quickly. The fact that the temperature is in RED, kinda worried me. Is there a cause for concern?
Should I take the nMP apart, and give it a couple of sprays of compressed air?
Thanks in advance.
