nMP Late 2013 Flash Drive Upgrade

Is there anyone aware of the most efficient way to upgrade internal storage on a Mac Pro Late 2013?

It seems a few user have been able to upgrade their builds over time, although considering technical progress there are quite a few different approaches.
I was wondering, what would be the most efficient way (cost- & speed wise) as of late 2017.

1. Option A: Buy a used Flash module on eBay. (Which one? Is there a compatibility list somewhere?)
   1. MZ-JPU512T/06
      
   2. MZ-JPU512T
   3. ...
2. Option B: OWC Aurora SSD Module
3. Option C: Transcend JetDrive 820 Series
4. Option D: Some kind of "12+16Pin Adapter M.2" allowing to make use of cheaper PC-Components

Sounds like you are THE buyer OWC is looking for;

You can't see the difference between those choices. Or maybe its easier to ask.
But you want to UPGRADE, so very strange you want to swap for a ssd that is 50% slower.
Typical for OWC.

Also heard you can't use boot camp with the OWC drive, I'd go for a genuine Mac Pro pull. Seen 1 tb used for around 600.
Wish Samsung would just make an aftermarket PCI-e that would just work.

In terms of capacity the OWC might still be considered an "upgrade", though you are probably right about the limited speed. There is a local seller on eBay, who put his 2TB Aurora on sale for about 500$. Thats why I was asking in the first place. Seems in general the OWC offering is not that attractive after all.

As stated above, the OWC does not seem to be the best offering. Nonetheless I would like add they have a tool on their website, that enables bootcamp compatibility.
Can you make any recommendations on which modules (pulled from other Apple devices) are compatible for use in Mac Pro 2013? Or am I limited to only those modules, pulled from another Mac Pro?

Thanks for sharing that link. I have invested quite some time in researching which modules might fit best. There is a lot of outdated information online. I was hoping for a Compatibility List, similar to the one regarding CPU, which can be found on this forum. Anyway, the MCE offering is kind of helpful

They are there to make money.
