nMP mixing Elpida & Hynix RAM

Hi guys,

I bought an original Hynix RAM module which was in a nMP but recognized later that my modules are from Elpida.
Can I put this module into my nMP?
Will my system work with mixing that modules in tripple- or quad-channel?

As long as the specs are the same there should be no problem at all. Apple uses modules from several manufacturers. The specs are that matter.
Also you cannot mix unbuffered with registered modules but this will interest you only if you go in the future for the 16 gb modules.

Next time I will upgrade to 64GB but at the moment 16GB should be enough.
Can you also tell me which RAM-Modules (Manufacterer) I should buy when I upgrade in the future?

We have bought from crucial a kit of 32 GB (2x16GB) registered modules and we are very satisfied.
you can check them ,and other options too:

Of course when you go at 32 gb (2x16) you have to completely remove your current modules, you can use only registered ones.
