I have three Airport Extreme AC routers in my house - two are in AP mode and one is a router/AP.
APX1: router (main floor)
APX2: AP mode, wired (basement)
APX3: AP mode, wireless bridged (third floor)
Internet--->APX1 ---wired---> APX2 ))) wireless )))> APX3
My nMP and 15" 2013 rMBP are connected via 802.11AC to the network and I'm able to get an average of 30-35MBps or so off of my NAS which is great but I wonder if I can do better. I have read great things about the Netgear R7000 and I was wondering what kind of performance increase I might see by replacing my Airport Extremes with the R7000?
I should say that the 30-35MBps isn't peak. The highest I've seen is around 45MBps.
